A "relaxing" roost for a "decadent weekend away" is how guests describe this "beautiful" La Jolla resort and conference center; the "calming design" includes "lavish" gardens, a spa and a pool with cabanas along the side; there's some division on service – many find it "helpful" while others are "underwhelmed" – but most are in agreement that the "many additional charges", like "valet parking" and "resort fees", need to go.

The place looks really nice and they have really friendly staff.

Uptight people. Security threatened to kick me out for a noise complaints from people downstairs for being loud at 9:30pm on a Saturday night.

If you are in your late 50's and you are looking to sleep at 8pm this is the place to be. I definitely didn't fit this and I think that ruined the trip all together. The hotel is great with a Spanish-villa vibe to it. The bacon burger is worth every penny and the staff
were OK. I just know that the people who stays at this place are very uptight and nauseatingly over sensitive. ...read more

I did not like the fact that they charge a parking fee of $25.00 and a hospitality fee of 12.00.
